Age Groups

The vision for the Jr Academy program will be to have the following age groups where they would be gender specific (except in the U4 & U6 age group), have separate training sessions and matches alike:

Teams can be created with a mix of genders if necessary, but the vision of the program is to have boys teams & girl teams formed. If there is a mixed team then that team would be placed in the (co-ed) bracket of that age group.

During the Spring season, respective JR Academy Team coaches will have one training sessions per week on Saturdays followed by a game on the same day.

PROGRAM DETAILS

This program is for Youth Players who want to learn soccer in an age-appropriate, fun environment. The focus is on fundamentals like dribbling, passing, and finishing, all through engaging and enjoyable games.

It’s designed as a Pre-Club Program, so there’s no long-term commitment required, and no need for travel to distant games. JUNIOR ACADEMY members will enjoy the fun of the program while preparing themselves for a future in competitive soccer before advancing to one of the Club Teams.

The MLS Go Recreational League - Jr Academy is an introduction to futbol program, serving recreational players within Azusa/Covina & Burbank / Hollywood.

Our Jr Academy is dedicated to providing a fun, safe and community based program for our families. It is our mission to offer a program where players have the opportunity to technically improve while having fun and building a love of the game. Our recreational program is a stepping stone into the competitive program.

The Jr Academy - MLS Go League is overseen by the Jr Academy Director.

Open Enrollment is open to all players between ages 3 and 10.

No tryouts are required to join a team.

Our official recreational program. Our Jr Academy program is design as an introduction and learning experience to the sport of futbol. It is recommended for all boys and girls, ages 3-10, who have the desire to learn and play soccer.

Open Enrollment

There are no tryouts for our Jr Academy program. The Jr Academy Development Program is designed to give your child the opportunity to build a solid foundation in technical development in the very early years of playing and enjoying the game of soccer. The Jr Academy program serves as an introductory and path for 3—10 years old soccer players.

Our program is devised as an In-House, non-travel program under the guidance of our Jr Academy Directors. They will educate, mentor and guide the volunteer Jr Academy coaches. We are committed to providing a fun, educational, and progressive experience for your youth soccer players. Not only are we committed to our youth players, but we also have a wonderful comprehensive coaching education curriculum and mentorship program specifically for Jr Academy coaches.
